Part Of Me Thought: “It’s A Bit Mean”, But Another Part Of Me (The One Grinning) Thought: “This Is Spot On!”

Now, I Do Not Wish To Start A Vicious Battle Between #Generations… But There Is Some Truth To The Fact That The #Baby_Boomers_Generation Made A (Huge) Mess Of Things.

My Friends And Co-Workers Know That I Am A History Buff, So I Immediately Found Myself Considering Historical Patterns Of Behaviour In Societies Around The World.

The Pre-World War 2 Generation Had A Dramatically Different #Vision_Of_Life And Behaviour From The Baby-Boomers.

I Will Not Go Into Excessive Details (Because I Tend To Bore Those That Are Not Passionate About History As I Am), But One Of The #Core_Beliefs Of The Pre-WW2 Generation Was That A Person Should Do His/Her Best To Ameliorate The World He/She Was Living.

I Can Say Without Fear Of Missing The Mark Too Much That The Baby-Boomers’ Generation Instead Grew Out Of The 1960S “Sex, Drug & Rock ’N Roll” Philosophy Of “Let’s Have Fun And Do Not Worry About Anything”.

This May Be Fine For A Short While, But A Party Is Meant To Last One Night Only, Not 70+ Years. It Is Not By Chance That The Late 21st Century Society Has Been Identified With The Word #CONSUMERISM, And Not With The Word #VALUE.

The Generations Coming After The Baby Boomers Have Just Begun Feeling The Effect Of The Biggest And Meanest Hangover In History.

Laying Aside Who’s To Blame (The Correct Answer IS NOT ‘The Baby-Boomers’, But ‘Ourselves’), And Moving On About Looking For A Solution.

I Am Pretty Much #Forward_Oriented In Everything I Do, Mostly Because I Think It’s Dangerous Running At Full Speed While Looking Into The Rearview Mirror, So I Believe That Our Focus Should Be On The Road Ahead.

The Whole Postmodernist Experiment Clearly Blew Up In Our Faces, So It May Be Time We Started Re-Thinking About What We Need To Do In Order Get Better.

It’s Time To #Look_For_Solutions.

It’s All Well And Good To Say “This World’s A Mess”, It’s Another Thing To Realise That Clearing The Mess Is Everyone’s #Responsibility. And I Really Mean Everyone.

So, Who Or What Should We Turn To For A Solution?

As I Mentioned In The Video (Yes, That’s Me Talking), Some People Have A Knee-Jerk Reaction And Tend To Go ‘RAMBO’ On Things, They Arm Themselves And Become Terrorists.

THAT IS NOT THE CORRECT ANSWER.

It’s The EASY Answer, The One That Deals With Our Frustration In The Quickest Manner. But It Is A Band-aid For The Symptoms, Not The Actual Cure.

Historically There Is A Winning Medicine For This Kind Of Situations:

• Worked Every Time
• Found The Best And Easiest-To-Apply Solutions
• Was The Most Sensible And The Most Practical
• Was Efficient

I Am Talking About… #BUSINESS And #ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

And Be Mindful: Governments, Institutions, Education Systems… You Name It, They ARE NOT THE SOLUTION.

For A Start They Always Arrive Last: Not Only They Limit Themselves At Legitimising What Has Become The Accepted Rule, But Usually They Are The Staunchest Defenders Of The Corrupted Systems Affecting Society.

As I Explained In The Video, If Solution Is What We Are Looking For, Then Entrepreneurship Is What We Need.

Because GOOD Business Solves Problems And Creates VALUE

Yes, The Image Of Business Is Tainted By “Money”… But How Are You Going To Motivate People That Do Not Wish To Move?
